Tonight was the prestigious Wiltshire & Swindon Sports Club Awards and quite remarkably for a club that’s only 7 months old, MBSwindon won the award for “Most Innovative Club”! The award was presented by Phil de Glanville a former rugby union player.
I know I’ve recalled it before, but there really was a conversation between Phil, Tom & I right at the beginning where we wondered if anyone would ever join and if all the effort was worth it. Well with 70 members on-board, a great atmosphere at all our events and now this, I can safely say we had nothing to worry about and it most definitely was.
So a massive pat on the back and huge thanks to the committee, the members and everyone else that’s helped us along the way. Especially Anna @ CTC who nominated us!
See you out riding soon!
As I said on FB

A well deserved win, guys. I am constantly surprised by the efforts you put into the sport, the trail and the club. I don’t for a minute think that any of your work goes unnoticed, but hey, we’re British, we don’t like to praise people much, so don’t forget this moment!
Yours, a very proud cycling officer,
Anna “Chip” Cipullo x
Again the work you guys put into the trail is much appreciared
