Trail build day: the North Side pt1

After a long rest period during the summer then we’re going to get back on with some trail building. Our number one priority is to rebuild one of the oldest remaining sections. This has stood up to use quite well considering how thin the surfacing is but some parts of it are sinking.

The map below shows the target area. There’s 400m of trail in various states – about half of it needs full resurfacing and the other half needs a bit of a top up. We’ve built 200m of new trail in a weekend before so we should be able to fix the bad stuff in two days.

We’ll have 40 tonnes of material sat in the car park and we’ll shift it using the Land Rover, power barrow and any other method that we can think of.

See the build diary for recent progress.
