Prospect Hospice Big Ride Photos 2013

Hargroves Cycles Demo Day 2013 Swindon

Fancy trying out some new bikes for free? MTB demo day at the Croft Trail on Sun 5th May.

Photos from the Prospect Hospice Big Ride 2013. MBSwindon organised the route, marking, clearing and sweeping. We got great feedback from the riders.

  • Rob Twitchell: “brilliant ride guys, well thought out and well marshalled.”
  • Ray Stevens: “The Big Knackering Bike Ride…I bought the Coffee guy’s entire stock of leftover buns and biscuits ! for a mere Fiver ! The many Marshalls did a sterling job at encouraging us all with a cheery smile and a jaunty chorus of “Get a move on it’ll be dark soon” so big thanks to them and the band of helpers.”
  • Steve Randall “My brother in law and I had a great day on the 50k, struggled a bit but great to finish. Well done guys!”
  • Tom Bint: “Great event chaps, really professionally done and your efforts were very much appreciated. Top job!”
  • Mathew Plant: “Great event, great work by all the marshalls, superb course and a LOT drier than last year – thanks”
  • Pawel Kotowski: “A massive thanks to the Marshals great job. Thanks to everyone who marked the route yesterday. I didn’t think which way I have to go on all the route. Well done :)”
  • Andy Simpson: “Thanks for the organisation today. Never in doubt where to go, plus a nice sense of humour from the marshals!”
  • Helen Hilton:  “Thanks guy for such an awesome event, the marshalls were brilliant- and the croft trail is amazing! Loved it”

  1. Tom and I had a cracking day. Learnt a lot and looking
forward to getting back out on our bikes again when the dull ache
in our legs has warn off. Extremely well organised event. Tom and I
want to give something back so will be joining the club and
offering our help in maintaining the track at Croft. Looking
forward to seeing more photos. Thank you Mountain Bike
    Swindon!

  2. Thanks to all the MBS Marshalls especally the 2 at the water stop (apples came in very handy), Loved the event although not loving the state of my behind and legs today (still numb). Very good route which tested me beyond my normal comfort zone, how people managed to finsh in the times I’ve seen is beyond me. Looking forward to the photos!
