February Club Events
Non-members are very welcome to come along to an event or two before deciding to join the club, “try before you buy” as it were. Come along and find out how friendly and welcoming we are at any one of the events below.
Our Friday night rides (every Friday, 7:30pm) at the trail continue. Lights are now needed – the club have a limited number of lights that members can borrow for the evening to try night riding before splashing out on a set of lights. Contact phil @ mbswindon.co.uk giving at least 48 hours notice if you would like to borrow one.
Don't forget that any events marked with  are novice friendly!
MB Swindon Club Shirts Have Arrived!
The first batch of our new shirts arrived a couple of weeks ago. Most of the people who ordered one have received theirs and are very happy with them. We’ve updated the Club Shirts page with the relevant info and pics. We have a small number of shirts in stock, with more on the way. If you take into account the original 14 shirts supplied by Hargroves we have 82 MB Swindon shirts in existence! Big thanks to Scimitar Sports for being really easy to deal with.
MB Swindon Ladies
Our next MB Swindon ladies event is on Sunday 26th Feb at Ashton Court and Leigh Woods. Read the reports from the recent Ladies Only Ride at Croft Trail and the Forest of Dean.
MB Swindon AGM
The MBSwindon club annual general meeting and review. It’s being held a the Check Inn at Wroughton who are offering a beer and curry deal for £5. We’ll be eating once the AGM is finished. To book food then please contact chris @ mbswindon co uk.
Last year the meeting took just under 45 minutes and then we drank beer and stuffed our faces with curry.
There will be a quick review of the year, a look at our future plans, election of officers and answering of any questions members might have. Questions and feedback can be sent in advance via email to info @ mbswindon co uk.

MB Swindon Training Courses

We've moved away from using Google Checkout as we weren't 100% (not really even 50%) happy with how it operates. We've moved to a new system that doesn't store or pass on any of your details to anyone. Join or renew here.
Croft Trail News
Big thanks to all who came along for our January build days. If you can spare the time please come along and help put something back into the trail. Just because we're doing well doesn't mean we don't need your help still! It doesn't matter if you can only spare us an hour – every little helps. This trail wouldn't be where it is today without people getting stuck in and getting on with it.

Prospect Hospice Big Bike Ride 2012
The MBSwindon club are planning, marking and marshalling the route for this year’s Prospect Hospice big ride event.
It’s happening on Sunday 22nd April 2012 starting from the Croft Trail (opposite the Nationwide Building society in Swindon). For more details of the ride see our page here.
We’re looking for volunteers to help mark the route, marshal the event and sweep the route at the end. If you are interested then please email tom at mbswindon dot co dot uk or see the options on our contact page.

Peak district trip with Hit The Hills
Hit The Hills offer fully catered mountain biking weekends at various locations around the UK. They have a fully trained chef who works with locally sourced ingredients. They offer club members a 10% discount on bookings – see our full discount list.
We’ll be visiting the Peak District for the weekend of Friday 11th – Sunday 13th May 2011.
The price will be approximately £80 per person for 2 nights, breakfast, lunch and evening meal on two days. To reserve a place please contact tom @ mbswindon co uk.

MB Swindon 2012 Alps Trip
We're planning a trip to the Alps for the Passports Du Soleil event. Tom has found a cracking deal on accomodation with Ski and Summer Morzine, one of our many club discounts. This involves booking a Chalet in Morzine for Wed-Wed around Passportes event. Arrive 27th June, leave 4th July. 7 night's accomodation (twin en suite rooms), breakfast and 3 course evening meal. £300 per person (£43 per night). Room for 30 people. Sound any good?
