After the success of our trip to Wales in August 2010 we’ve got more planned for 2011.

Alan and Jodie are planning a trip to mid Wales. We’ll be staying at the Dolgamedd campsite near Dolgellau. Google map of location. This is a bank holiday Friday due to the Royal wedding and also on the Monday.

You can only book in advance at the camp site if you are staying for 3 nights or more and require an electricity hook up. Ask to be near Alan and Jodie West. Otherwise just turn up. Let Jodie@mbswindon.co.uk know that you’re coming.

We’re planning rides at:

Coed y Brenin . This one of the first mountain bike trail centres that opened in the UK and has several decent routes.Google map of our favourite Coed-y-Brenin route.
Climachx has one of the best downhill sections on a Red/Black graded trail in Wales.
Mach 3 is a great all mountain excursion, with the famous chute descent.
Cadair Idris is 893m high so this is a proper proper mountain route. Video of Cadair Idris MTB, Bikely map of Cadair Idris route.
Nant-Yr-Arian is another purpose built trail centre in mid wales. See our ride report on Nant Yr Arian.

So there’s plenty of riding to be done. Like our North Wales trip, we’re going to organise various rides but you are free to do anything else if you fancy.
