Lake district camping trip

Rocky steps in the lake districtThe lake district offers a lot of riding options. There’s enough to fill several weeks. This includes a host of natural routes such as the tour of great gable, the Walna Scar route round the Old Man of Coniston, Ullswater loop, Staveley passes and Skiddaw. More routes.

There’s also trail centres at Whinlatter, Grizedale and Gisburn.

The plan:

  • Thursday 9th May – drive up, half day of riding
  • Friday 10th/Sat 11th/Sun 12th/Mon13th – full day of riding
  • Tuesday 14th – half day of riding, return

We’ll be staying at Baysbrown Farm Campsite in Chapel Stile near a very good pub. See the map below. Google map of location.

This costs £5 per person per night. Payment on arrival.
